How to use

• Ensure your IQOS ILUMA device is fully charged.

• Insert a TEREA tobacco stick with the filter facing outwards.

• The device will vibrate indicating the heating process has automatically started.

• Wait for the second vibration, signalling the experience is ready.

What TEREA tobacco sticks are made of.

1 - Sealing
Thanks to the sealing, the holder remains clean and free of tobacco residues after use. It also makes the tobacco stick easier to insert and pull out.

2 - Heating element
The innovative heating element is coated with stainless steel and is located inside the tobacco stick, where it gently heats the tobacco.

3 - Hollow Channel
The hollow channel ensures that exactly the right amount of tobacco vapor flows through the tobacco stick. For an even draw and high-yield tobacco vapor.

4 - Real tobacco
A carefully selected, finely ground and specially prepared tobacco blend. For consistently high tobacco experience.

5 - Protective cover
Our new protective cover ensures that the Holder stays clean after use. So you never have to clean again.

6 - Cooling segment
This filter cools the temperature of the tobacco vapor. It is made of cellulose acetate and offers the best cooling performance yet.

IQOS ILUMA was designed so that a TEREA tobacco stick is heated for about the same period of time as a cigarette, but without burning tobacco. Which is why the consumption time of a TEREA tobacco stick is approximately the same as that of a cigarette. A TEREA tobacco stick can be consumed for up to 6 minutes.

Yes, TEREA tobacco sticks contain nicotine, which is addictive. Nicotine is a natural component of the tobacco plant and is released in the tobacco aerosol produced when IQOS ILUMA is used.

TEREA tobacco sticks are available in many different varieties, from intense and toasted to fine and soft. With the help of the TEREA product descriptions, you can get an idea of the variety and choose the TEREA variety that best suits your taste.

TEREA tobacco sticks are shorter than cigarettes because the tobacco in them is compressed. The tobacco in TEREA consists of the finest tobacco leaves, which have been ground and processed into a homogeneous tobacco strand. This allows the tobacco to be gently heated instead of burned. The duration of tobacco experience remains the same: the average consumption experience is about the same as a cigarette.

No, IQOS does not offer nicotine-free TEREA tobacco sticks. TEREA are made from real tobacco, which naturally contains nicotine.

HEETS tobacco sticks were developed for earlier IQOS heated tobacco devices (such as IQOS ORIGINALS). HEETS are gently heated via a heating blade located in the holder of the tobacco heaters.


By contrast, TEREA Tobacco Sticks, designed exclusively for use with IQOS ILUMA, gently heat the real tobacco directly inside through the SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™.


TEREA tobacco sticks are therefore constructed differently than HEETS tobacco sticks, among other things, they contain a heating element coated with stainless steel and are closed on both sides.

That's why TEREA tobacco sticks can only be used with IQOS ILUMA, and HEETS tobacco sticks exclusively with earlier IQOS models such as IQOS ORIGINALS.
